What is E5 Enclave Incorporated? +

E5 Enclave Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Liberty City, Miami, Florida. Founded in 2024 (EIN 99-3822441), E5 Enclave builds institutional infrastructure for Black communities — including cooperative economic programs, food sovereignty systems, K-12 educational initiatives, and a community data research platform called the Black Distress Index.

What is an Enclave Economy? +

An enclave economy is a community-controlled economic system where land, capital, labor, and production are owned and governed by the community — preventing extraction by outside investors. The goal is to extend the circulation of each dollar inside the community before it exits, building generational wealth through cooperative ownership, community land trusts, and local financial institutions. What is the Black Distress Index (BDI)? +

The Black Distress Index is a 50-city data platform that tracks economic stress indicators in Black communities across the United States — measuring housing instability, food insecurity, income inequality, health disparities, and civic disenfranchisement. The dataset is available as a free download for advocates, researchers, and nonprofit organizations.

What is the McCartney Academy? +

McCartney Academy is a Black-centered K-12 educational initiative being developed in Liberty City, Miami. Named for Ralph McCartney, a Liberty City elder, the Academy is built on a lineage-centered curriculum that places Black history, heritage, and excellence at the foundation of every lesson — not as an add-on, but as the organizing principle.

What is Lineage Farms? +

Lineage Farms is E5 Enclave's urban agriculture and food sovereignty program. It builds cooperative urban farms, food distribution networks, and workforce training programs in Miami's food deserts — with the goal of Black community ownership of local food systems, not just access to food.

What is the Coalition of the Willing? +

The Coalition of the Willing is E5 Enclave's civil society network connecting community organizations, advocates, researchers, and individuals who want to contribute to building Enclave Economy infrastructure. What is the Black Dragons Initiative? +

The Black Dragons Initiative (BDI) is E5 Enclave's social justice and community development vertical. It encompasses the Black Distress Index data platform, Black youth technology programs, cooperative economic development tools, and the Block to Boardroom business support program. All resources are free to access.

What is Restitution 246? +

Restitution 246 is E5 Enclave's reparations policy platform. The number refers to the 246 years of chattel slavery in the United States (1619–1865). The platform advocates for lineage-specific federal reparations for American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS), grounded in documented federal breaches of Reconstruction-era promises.

What is the EDEN Exchange? +

EDEN is E5 Enclave's community exchange unit — an internal medium of value that enables reciprocal transactions among board agents, partner organizations, and community members without dependence on extractive financial intermediaries. EDEN is earned through verified community contribution.

How is E5 Enclave different from other Black nonprofits? +

E5 Enclave is institutional, not service-based. Rather than delivering direct services one at a time, E5 builds the infrastructure — land systems, financial systems, data systems, and educational systems — that enables Black communities to govern their own economic lives. The difference is between providing a meal and building a co-op grocery store the community owns.

What is 'agentic nonprofit' infrastructure? +

E5 Enclave is the world's first agentic-first staffed nonprofit — its operations are coordinated by a board of AI agents working under human board governance. What is the Executive Order Initiative? +

E5 Enclave's Executive Order Initiative advocates for a White House Executive Order establishing a Presidential Commission on Descendants of American Slavery and a White House Initiative on Black American Lineage Prosperity. Does E5 Enclave work with other nonprofits and government agencies? +

Yes. E5 Enclave is a registered federal contractor and actively pursues government contracts, federal grants, and coalition partnerships. Current active engagements include the Freedmen's Nation (FRFT), BLM Grassroots, and ongoing grant applications to federal, state, and private funders. E5 is also a Microsoft Nonprofit partner.
